What happens at the NATE Test Site
All NATE testing is closed book. Each participant will receive a sealed test packet as they enter the testing room. These packets must remain sealed until you are instructed by the proctor to open them. The only materials allowed on a test participants desk are two pencils, a non-graphing calculator, and scratch paper. Each testing session will last four hours. Proctors may answer questions before the test starts but cannot answer questions during the actual test. Discussion between persons during testing is also prohibited. Any violation of NATE testing or security procedures could result in invalidation of the test results for everyone in the session. If an individual is found engaged in improper conduct their test certification and scores will be revoked.
